This name is a play on words because these energy balls are made with cocoa powder, coconut, AND nuts — so Cocoa Nut Balls it is. I wanted to make a nut-based energy ball to compare to my Spiced Collagen Balls. These are a great source of healthy fats like Omega 3’s and are perfect as a mid-afternoon snack.
- 1 cup halved walnuts
- 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Omega Trail Mix
- 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut pieces
- 1 1/2 T honey
- 3 T cocoa powder
Combine and blend in a food processor until dough-like consistency. I put the balls in the freezer for a couple hours until they firmed up, then moved them to the fridge!
