Workout Wednesday #3

I’ve got a circuit workout for you that targets the whole body and is guaranteed to make you sweat and get your heart pumping! All you need is a clear area with a wall, good music and some water. This is the perfect workout to do if you can’t make it to the gym because you can do it almost anywhere!

Circuit 1:

  • 25 Jumping Jacks
  • 30 Squats
  • 25 Jumping Jacks
  • 20 Squats
  • 25 Jumping Jacks
  • 10 Squats
  • 25 Jumping Jacks
  • 10 Squats

Squats: mix it up by adding in jump squats to really get your heart rate up

Circuit 2: (on the mat)

  • 20 mountain climbers
  • 10 push-ups
  • 15 mountain climbers
  • 10 push-ups
  • 15 mountain climbers
  • 10 push-ups

push-ups: go to your knees if you need to (keep your toes on the ground), you don’t want to sacrifice your form!

Mountain climbers: use towels or disks to increase the intensity! (smooth surface required)

Circuit 3:

  • 1 minute wall sit
  • 1 minute plank
  • 1 minute wall sit
  • 1 minute plank
  • 1 minute wall sit
  • 1 minute plank

wall sit: keep your knees and ankles in line and try to get your legs to 90 degrees

plank: shoulders, wrist, and elbows in line, abs engaged, and body in a straight line (don’t let your butt stick in the air or sink to the mat). Plank on hands or forearms to mix it up

**Reverse back up through circuit 2 and circuit 1 to complete!**

End with 10 minutes of stretching.
