I will always believe that Mexican food is good for the soul. I’m constantly on the lookout for inspiration to create new and healthy Mexican dishes at home and to share with friends. Guacamole will forever hold a special place in my heart, but I just recently tried a new recipe that will give traditional guac a run for its money.
- 2 ripe avocados, dices
- 1/4 sweet onion, chopped
- 2 heaping tablespoons of Sidekicks SoGreen Salsa Verde
Mix together in a bowl and enjoy with chips, on top of tacos, or in addition to any Mexican dish!
Sidekicks Salsa is a local company out of Cleveland, OH that is changing the salsa game. Their use of natural citrus juice, fresh ingredients, and low sodium is the ultimate combination for healthy and flavorful salsas that compliment many dishes. I love finding companies that have a strong passion for creating health, quality products that we can incorporate into our diets.
My favorite ways to eat salsa are on top of eggs, with chips (of course) or mixed with ground chicken to make tacos or bowls.
